Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Sanford, Florida. The role requires a valid MRI license, two years of recent MRI experience, and BLS certification. Shifts are 12 hours, days, with a 36-hour work week on a travel contract.

Qualifications

• Two years of regular (20+ hrs/week) MRI experience.
• License in the required state.
• BLS certification.
• Proficient in MRI protocols and procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
• Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area; EP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Follow protocol and safety procedures under Radiology leadership.
• Perform patient studies and position coils as needed.
• Select scan sequences, adjust equipment, and document data.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Ensure patient and staff safety and monitor for hazards.
• Orient and train new MRI staff or students.
