Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. The position requires completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registry, and state licensure as applicable, with 18 months MRI experience preferred.

The contract runs for 13 weeks, offering 40 hours per week with a 10-hour shift, and includes travel reimbursement, housing options, and comprehensive benefits through a Joint Commission-certified staffing partner.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Eighteen months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• MRI technologists operate MRI scanners, ensuring safe and accurate imaging.
• Position patients and coils on the table, monitor image data during scans.
• Inject contrast media as required and set technical parameters for scans.
• Observe image quality, recognize normal vs. abnormal images, and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care and maintain a safe work environment.
