Zusammenfassung

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, with travel healthcare staffing experience preferred.

You will perform MRI procedures, ensure safety, operate PACS, and assist radiologists. ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS are required; one year of MRI experience is expected, with state licensing as applicable.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 1 year of MRI experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration in MRI.
• State licensing when required.
• Stand/walk for long periods; bend/stoop as needed.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Aufgaben

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure.
• Interpret physicians’ instructions.
• Position patients for scans with immobilization and safety equipment.
• Assist radiologist during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as directed.
• Evaluate MRI image quality and label correctly.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
