Job summary

Focus Staff is searching for a Travel MRI Technologist in Waltham, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will have at least two years of recent experience and will be responsible for operating MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging under the supervision of radiology leadership. Proficiency in MRI procedures and communication skills are essential. This role includes health insurance, 401K matching, and other benefits. Employment type is contract/temporary/travel.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent continuous experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Fully proficient in all duties required of an MRI Technologist II.
• At least two years of hospital experience in a clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Performs studies according to set protocol and ensures diagnostic quality.
• Explains procedures to patients to address concerns with tact and poise.
• Ensures patient and staff safety with strict adherence to protocols.
• Orients and trains new hires and students.

Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to learn applications relevant to the position

Proficiency in MRI

Knowledge of complex MRI protocols

Education

License in required state

BLS certification
