Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Durango, Colorado. You will perform MRI imaging, patient preparation, and safety procedures while working 12-hour days on a 13-week travel assignment.

The candidate should have 1 year of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT with registration, plus BLS and state licensing if required. This role offers a tax-free stipend and travel benefits through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience.
• Certification: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT with active registration.
• State licensure if required.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
