Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a Des Moines, Iowa assignment. This contract runs 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, day shifts, travel position.

Responsibilities include operating MRI scanners, ensuring patient safety, positioning, contrast administration, and maintaining compliance with regulations. The role requires completion of Radiologic Technology program, state registration, ARRT, and 18 months MRI experience; travel and housing options provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Eighteen months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment.
• Ensure patient, staff and visitor safety around the MRI environment.
• Position patients and coils on the scanner table; inject contrast as required.
• Set technical parameters and observe image data during scans.
• Maintain awareness of image differences and recognize abnormal findings.
• Respond to life-threatening situations promptly and appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
