Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a traveling MRI Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Hamilton, Montana. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, BLS, and MR/ARMRIT certification with applicable state licensing.

Expect 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts and travel duties as assigned. Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, ensuring safety, collaborating with radiologists, and maintaining accurate records using McKesson PACS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MRI experience.
• BLS and MR certification required.
• NBRC, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and state licensing where applicable.
• 2 years of experience referenced in some materials.

Responsibilities

• Explain imaging procedures and provide reassurance to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' instructions for imaging.
• Position patients for MRI scans with proper immobilization and safety.
• Assist radiologist during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate image quality and organize MRI sequences.
• Operate power injectors for contrast delivery.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Utilize McKesson PACS system.
