Job summary

American Traveler is currently seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Sarasota, Florida. This position requires active MRI credentials, a minimum of 6 months of recent experience, and BLS certification. The role includes working 12-hour day shifts and rotates weekend duties.

As a vital part of the hospital's MRI department, you will ensure top-level patient care while executing MRI scans. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as housing stipends are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (MRI) or equivalent MRI technologist certification/license required.
• Minimum 6 months of MRI experience within the last 6 months.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Sarasota, FL, requiring active MRI tech credentials and recent hands‑on MRI experience.

Details

• Hospital‑based MRI department
• 12‑hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday
• Rotating call required
• 13‑week contract

Requirements

• Active ARRT (MRI) or equivalent MRI technologist certification/license required
• Minimum 6 months of MRI experience within the last 6 months
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility – local candidates are not eligible
• Traveler is expected to work every other weekend in rotation with hospital staff
• Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis with hospital employees
• Radiology staff wear black scrubs

Compensation

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
