Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Anchorage, AK. The MRI Tech will operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images, interact with patients, and collaborate with radiology teams to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires MRI training, one year of MRI experience, a valid MRI license, and BLS certification. Travel benefits and comprehensive coverage accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Radiology program with MRI specialization/training.
• One year of experience as an MRI Tech.
• Valid Radiology/MRI license per state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications according to protocols.
• Educate patients on MRI procedure and address questions.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment; report malfunctions.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per orders; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor image quality and adjust scanning parameters for optimal results.
• Document procedure details in hospital systems per policy.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and timely results.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following infection control policies.
• Follow safety rules including radiation safety procedures.
• Perform other duties within MRI Technologist scope.
