Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse for a Travel MICU assignment in Atlanta, GA. This 13-week, guaranteed-36-hour/week role features night shifts (12-hour) and a fast-paced hospital MICU with ventilated patients and complex care needs.

ACLS and BLS are required along with 2+ years of MICU/ICU experience. Apply if you are motivated by acute critical care and ready for focused onboarding to MICU practices.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
• 2+ years of MICU/ICU experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ventilator management and IV drip experience.
• Ability to work night shifts (Night 12x3) in MICU.
• RN degree (baccalaureate or associate degree accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill MICU patients, including ventilated and on IV drips.
• Monitor hemodynamics, titrate medications and vasoactives, and adjust care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Respond to clinical changes, manage airway and ventilator settings, and participate in rapid response and code events as appropriate.
• Monitor labs and imaging; support care for sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD and CKD.
• Document care in the EMR and communicate changes to physicians, families, and staff.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety standards, and unit protocols in a fast-paced environment.
