Job summary

McClatchy Media in Cary, NC seeks a part-time Merchandiser to service multiple stores, travel between accounts, and maintain planograms and displays. You will coordinate with the Supervisor of Merchandising and report hours using company apps. The role includes a background check and drug test prior to employment.

The position requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a retail environment. A valid driver’s license and transport are needed.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication.
• Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Professional conduct and reliable attendance required.
• Reliable transportation for travel to stores.
• Comfort with Movista and related applications.
• Own cell phone and mobile device; proficient with Word/Internet/Email.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products in stores following standards and planograms.
• Replenish stock and set up displays at multiple accounts.
• Service stores on scheduled days and hours; obtain approval for over-time.
• Record work hours accurately using designated apps.
• Communicate with Supervisors about duties and changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
