Job summary

Rezult Group is seeking a Travel MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity with a premier hospital in Florence, SC. The assignment runs 13 weeks, with a DAYS schedule of 3x12s, from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no on-call requirements.

Nurse will float across med-surg areas, work in telemetry-enabled beds, and document in Epic EMR while delivering evidence-based care per care plans and physician orders.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of RN MedSurg experience in varied units.
• RN license in SC or compact required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Float among med-surg areas including general medical, neuro, and orthopedics.
• Maintain patient care with 1:5/6 nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Document patient data in Epic EMR.
• Provide nursing interventions per Plan of Care and physician orders.
• Ensure safe storage and administration of medications.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Schedule: DAYS – (3x12s) Monday through Friday 7am - 7:30 pm (36 hours) NO ON CALL
• Total weekly gross pay: $2074
• Travel stipend weekly pay: $1246

JOB DESCRIPTION

• 10 bed med-surg flex pod open Monday7am-Friday 7pm. Nurse will be available to float among all med surg areas to include general medical, neuro, general surgery, orthopedics, medical and surgical cardiac, oncology, nephrology, and observation.
• Nurse patient ratios 1:5/6. All beds are telemetry capable. Telemetry is monitored remotely by telemetry technicians.
• Assesses needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical, examination, and analysis of data.
• Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standard of practice, incorporating the physician’s prescribed medical plans of care.
• Understands and recognizes appropriate storage and safety of medications (such as large volume IV’s, saline, medications in pre-packaged kits.
• Document patient data in Epic EMR.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of RN experience in MedSurg environment including general medical, neuro, general surgery, Ortho etc. required.
• RN license in SC or compact required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
