Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Medical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves testing blood and bodily fluids, using a variety of laboratory equipment, and delivering accurate test results.

The position requires ASCP/AMT/HEW/AAB certification and 18 months of clinical lab experience, with potential state licensing depending on the state requirements. Housing options and weekly pay are included as benefits.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB required
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required
• A state license may be required
• Need to have a basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using laboratory equipment
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites
• Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood to help ensure medications are at their most therapeutic levels
• Look at the chemical content of the blood to determine deficiencies in nutrients or excesses of cholesterol or blood sugars
• They must also follow the lab's protocol for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results
