Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Victoria, Texas. This assignment is 40 hours per week, nights, for 13 weeks, with a 10-hour shift pattern.

Qualifications include ASCP/AMT/HEW/AAB certifications and 18 months of relevant experience; state licensure may be required. Benefits include weekly pay, housing options, health insurance, and credentialing support.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB is required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Need to have a basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug levels or other chemicals in blood to ensure therapeutic ranges.
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes and other equipment.
• Follow lab protocol for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results.
