FocusStaff is seeking a Traveling Medical Technologist for assignments based in Columbus, OH. The role involves prompt validation and reporting of laboratory results across various specialties, with travel among locations as needed.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, testing, data reporting, and collaboration with pathologists. Requires active MT certification and BLS, with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist (Certified Medical Technologist).
• Ability to collect and process specimens accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from lab or patient.
• Prepare and test specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.).
• Perform hands-on procedures including blood draws and specimen handling.
• Monitor patient vital signs as needed.
• Analyze and report test results clearly.
• Enter data into medical databases and ensure data integrity.
