American Traveler is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg for an assignment in Dothan, Alabama. This role requires handling a patient ratio of 1:6–1:7 in a hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit with orthopedic focus, working 48 hours per week.

The ideal candidate possesses an active Alabama RN license and at least one year of RN experience. Certifications required include BLS and NIHSS, with ACLS preferred. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, starting on June 8, 2026.

• Cardiac drip management required at times, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone

Qualifications

• Active AL RN license or Compact RN license (pending AL license accepted if already applied)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
• Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
• Two professional references required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required

Additional Information

• First‑time travelers welcome
• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former facility staff ineligible for travel assignment for 10 years after last employment
