Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The unit, 4NW Ortho/Neuro, runs 12-hour night shifts with 1:6, moving to 1:7 after 2300. Start date is 11/04/2026 and min experience is 2 years with strong MS skills.

Must have BLS, NIHSS, WI RN license and Epic charting within last year. Travel experience preferred; unit may require float to nearby facilities. 48 hours per week; Covid-19 vaccine requirements apply.

• Travel experience preferred
• Indwelling drain removal, PICC line care/dressing changes & CHARGE EXP required
• Epic charting within last 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg RN care on 4NW Ortho/Neuro
• Float to nearby units as needed
• Adhere to unit ratios (1:6, 1:7 after 2300) and night shift requirements
• Follow hospital policies and TotalMed guidelines

Minimum Experience: 2 years minimum MS exp required, travel exp is preferred but not required. Hard stop skills: indwelling drain removal, PICC line care/dressing changes & CHARGE EXP are all required for this unit

Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: BLS, NIHSS, WI RN License

Charting Experience Required: Epic required within last 12 months

Float Requirement: Candidate may float to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Mukwonago and other like units as needed.

Scrub Colors: Any

Cancellation clause: none, although hours are not guaranteed during the week of orientation, during holidays when unit may close, or weeks when there is voluntary/approved time off.
