Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Eureka, California. The assignment runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with a standard 8-hour day shift.

This position requires active ASCP/AMT/HEW/AAB certification and 18+ months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience. A state license may be required. Benefits include housing options, health insurance for you and your family, and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB is required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Laboratory Technologist will test blood and bodily fluids using laboratory equipment to gather information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug and chemical levels in blood to ensure therapeutic ranges.
• Analyze chemical content of blood to assess nutrient deficiencies or cholesterol/blood sugar excesses.
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes and other equipment.
• Follow lab protocols for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results.
