Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician for a 12-week assignment in Charleston, South Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory analyses, quality testing, and handling specimens in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position requires day shifts (8 hours) with travel to facilities, adherence to laboratory policies, patient confidentiality, and strong teamwork. You will work with Cerner/STAR systems, maintain instrument readiness, and communicate results clearly

Qualifications

• Must be capable of operating laboratory instrumentation.
• Ability to perform patient phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Ability to make sound decisions under time constraints.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures, QC, and proficiency testing to ensure accurate results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, perform preventive maintenance, and document results.
• Manage data entry and result verification using Cerner/STAR systems.
• Communicate results clearly to supervisors, pathologists, and healthcare staff.
• Follow safety, regulatory, and laboratory policy requirements, and participate in required training.
