Job summary

Talent4Health is seeking a travel Medical Lab Technician for a travel position in Ketchum, Idaho. The role requires state-of-the-art knowledge across hematology, chemistry, coagulation, serology, and blood bank operations, with EPIC EMR experience preferred.

You must be ASCP and BLS certified, and comfortable with phlebotomy for evenings and nights. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week, with 7 on/7 off cycles and 10-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy for evening and night shifts.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and LIS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology, coagulation, chemistry, serology and blood bank tasks as skilled.
• Conduct phlebotomy on evenings and night shifts when needed.
• Support processing and data entry in EPIC and related systems.

What areas do they cover: Hematology, coag, UA, Blood bank, Chemistry, Serology, Micro Molecular, processing, phlebotomy when needed. - Do they need to be a Generalist: yes. - Do they need to perform Phlebotomy: Yes- for evening and night shifts. Phlebotomy until 2000. - Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: 1 year experience, okay with first time traveler. - LIS System: EPIC - EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area: Softbank- blood bank, WAM-hematology for differentials, DI-Chemistry. Not necessary but helpful if they have already used these programs.

Shifts & Scheduling: 8 hours shifts. Days: 6-230, 730-1600, 9-530. Staff 2-3 techs on days. Evenings: 1300-2130. 1 tech on evenings. Nights: 2000-0600 or 18-1900 to 06-07. 12 hour nights work 7 on 7 off. 1 tech on nights. All shifts do overlap. Manager to do schedule. - Weekend Requirements: All techs work at least 1 weekend a month if not more. Generally day shift works 1 weekend per month, evenings and nights work 2 weekends per month. - Holiday Requirements: potentially- rotating holidays will work if there is a need. - Call or Standby Call Requirement: none
