Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a 16-week travel assignment in Winnebago, NE. You will perform routine and moderately complex tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and toxicology while ensuring accurate results and proper instrument operation.

The role requires at least one year of recent MLT experience, a valid license where required, and preferred ASCP/AMT/AAB/HEW certifications along with BLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Valid license when needed in compliance with state regulations.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB/HEW certifications preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, and related areas.
• Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and handling.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of results by following quality control protocols.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA).
• Support transfusion reactions investigations by collecting and preparing samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Communicate results clearly to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain safe lab practices and infection control standards.
• Keep detailed records of results, calibrations, and QC measures.
• Assist with inventory management, reagents, and stocking lab supplies.
