Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital is seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MT/CLS) for a 13-week assignment in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The role focuses on phlebotomy, lab assistant duties, and core tests with a strong blood bank background and ABG experience is a plus.

The traveler will work 40 hours per week with flexible 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, covering days, PMs, and nights. Expect to float to multiple Aspirus facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Current MLT/MT/CLS credentials required.
• Minimum 3 years of core laboratory experience.
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required.
• Strong phlebotomy skills required.
• Blood bank background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection.
• Support blood bank operations and related processes.
• Process specimens for urinalysis, chemistry, and kit-based testing.
• Assist with specimen preparation, handling, labeling and processing.
• Perform laboratory testing within scope of responsibilities.
• Maintain specimen integrity and adhere to quality-control and safety procedures.
• Document using Epic workflows.
• Float to Aspirus facilities as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure timely, accurate test results.
