Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Encinitas, CA. This 13-week opening requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. The RN will monitor telemetry data, perform bedside care, and ensure timely communication with the medical team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS/BLS (NIH preferred). The program emphasizes high-quality patient care and efficient telemetry monitoring across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience (Telemetry/Med Surg preferred).
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIH or equivalent certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patients using telemetry equipment.
• Interpret and record data from heart rate, blood pressure, SpO2 and ECG displays.
• Identify abnormal telemetry readings and notify the medical team promptly.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data and nurse judgment.
