Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Simpsonville, SC. The role focuses on delivering high-quality med-surg and telemetry care, with responsibilities spanning assessments, monitoring, and coordinating with the care team.

You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, in a travel position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• One year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, ensuring understanding.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor patient conditions.
• Document vital signs, medications, treatments and outcomes in the chart.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Prioritize care for multiple patients based on acuity and needs.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and PPE use.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with patients and families.
