Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. This opportunity offers a 26-week duration, 36 hours per week, and a night shift on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, an accredited nursing degree, BLS, and at least 18 months of recent Acute Care Med/Surg experience. Additional requirements will be determined by the client facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care.
• Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Meticulous documentation as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.
