Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Med Surg/Telemetry in Decatur, GA. This 13‑week assignment requires 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour night shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, and are prepared to work in a fast-paced travel environment. The role includes patient assessments, care delivery, and discharge planning with potential for tax-free stipends.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg/Telemetry patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection.
• Document findings and provide family education.
• Administer, record, and report prescribed medications.
• Assist with dressings, IV starts and catheter insertions.
• Support discharge planning and patient education plans.
