Job summary

General Healthcare Resources, Inc. is seeking a Travel Med-Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment in Cleveland, OH. The role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour rotating shifts and a weekly pay range of $2,250–$2,370.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Ohio RN license (or compact-state license), have 1+ year of medical-surgical telemetry experience, and possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Start date is October 23, 2026.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact-state license in hand at submission.
• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation.
• Willingness to float to related units, including other medical-surgical and telemetry areas and the emergency department, when needed to care for the same patient population.
• Ability to meet applicable background screening, compliance, health screening, and orientation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize significant changes, and promptly communicate concerns to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record.
• Support safe patient care across assigned units when floating is required.
