Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse for Med Surg/Telemetry in Pikeville, KY. Start date is imminent with 8 weeks duration on a 48-hour weekly schedule, nights, on a 12-hour shift. The unit is Level II Trauma center with 340 beds; EKG/compliance steps are required during onboarding.

Required: KY/Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and ability to read tele strips. Epic/Care View charting preferred; travel benefits apply through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry required.
• TN/A Trauma experience not specified; Level I or II Trauma preferred.
• Tele strips reading/interpretation essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med Surg/Telemetry nursing care on a level II trauma unit.
• Adhere to 48-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour night shifts.
• Complete compliance steps including EKG testing during onboarding.

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Pikeville, Kentucky.

**EKG test required for all RN's, to be completed during the compliance process.**

Minimum Experience: 1 year in specialty. MUST have Level I or Level II Trauma experience.

Required Skillset: General Med/Tele. Must be able to read/interpret tele strips.

Charting: Care View/EPIC preferred, will train on-site

Required Certifications: KY/Compact RN License. AHA BLS/ACLS. NIHSS.

Unit Information (Bed size, beds, Patient ratio): 340 bed Level II Trauma Center. Patient ratio: 1:6. Beds: 15-45 beds depending on which unit you are on. Float: will float throughout all inpatient areas. May be tasked as an aide if other units need assistance. Scrub Colors: black
