Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg/Tele RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Evansville, IN. The RN will deliver comprehensive care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, monitor cardiac telemetry, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet diverse patient needs.

Start date is soon with a 13-week duration and night shifts. Required qualifications include 1 year Med Surg/Tele RN experience, valid Indiana RN license, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Indiana or eligible for licensure.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgery.
• Document patient information, including vitals and treatments, in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
