Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Sanford, North Carolina.

The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. This assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. You will provide bedside care, administer medications, perform IV starts, assist with procedures, and participate in discharge planning in a fast-paced Med Surg/Telemetry unit.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required.
• Travel RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
