Travel Med Surg/Tele RN
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg/Tele RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. As a member of our team, you will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in medical‑surgical and telemetry units, delivering comprehensive assessments, monitoring telemetry data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Other certifications and licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and document changes
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures
- Document patient information, including vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes, in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical needs
- Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring they are respected and integrated into the care plan
- Facilitate discharge planning, coordinating with patients, families, and external resources
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills

- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, and bend

- Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
- Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and using department equipment
Mental Requirements
- Coping with frequent contact with the public while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Work under close supervision occasionally, and also without assistance from other personnel
- Concentrate continuously on detail despite irregular activity schedules
