Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and at least two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting with Med/Surg, Tele, and discharge lounge units
• Float pool position with assignments to various Med-Surg and Telemetry units, including a 12-bed unit, four 23-bed units, and a 4-bed unit
• Adult and geriatric patient populations
• Night shifts scheduled as 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Floating between units is required
• Facility is a level II trauma center
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Documentation is completed in Cerner EMR
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Team members provide care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and discharge lounge units
• Orientation is 64 hours in length
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be expected
• Care is provided in a 163-bed hospital
• Scrub or dress code will be specified by the hospital upon assignment
