Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing's travel Med Surg/Tele RN position in West Burlington, IA offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. You will deliver high-quality care in med-surg and telemetry units while joining a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• NIHSS certification (preferred).
• ACLS (AHA / ARC) certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Ensure infection control practices are followed, including PPE use.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with patients, families, and external resources.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Education

One year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience

Valid RN license

Current BLS Certification

NIHSS certification

ACLS (AHA / ARC) certification
