Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Port Angeles, Washington. The position runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and night shifts in Med Surg/Telemetry.

The right candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and is ready to take on fast-paced care, bedside assessments, and patient education while supporting discharge planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active license to practice in the state.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients.
• Assess patients and document findings; monitor and report changes.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
