Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. The assignment runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with day shifts, providing Med-Surg and telemetry care in a hospital setting.

Active RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program are required, along with BLS certification and at least 18 months of recent acute care Med/Surg experience. Additional client-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• BLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Med-Surg patients before and after surgical procedures
• Complete assignments made by physicians
• Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care
• Assess changes in patient health status and perform various treatments
• Administer medication
• Meticulous documentation to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members
