Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel assignment in Battle Creek, Michigan. The individual will perform bedside care for a diverse patient population, including perioperative care, and will be responsible for data collection, assessments, and family education.

Start date is 11/16/2026 with a 13-week duration and a 36-hour workweek, including night shifts. The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience, be proficient in documenting findings, and capable of performing discharge

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Travel nursing readiness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.
• Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
