Job summary

TotalMed RN in Omaha, NE is seeking a Travel Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment. The right candidate should have 1–2 years of acute care experience, with 12-hour night shifts and a total of 36 hours per week.

As a Med/Surg RN, you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, document findings, educate families, and assist with discharge planning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel RN position for Med/Surg
• Shift: 12 hours, nights; 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients including pre/post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
