Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift on a 13-week assignment in Rockport, Maine. The position requires an ME or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience, with EPIC EMR used on a 36-hour week schedule.

Clinical duties include caring for orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients, with 1:5 day staffing and 1:6 nights, plus a 25-mile float policy. BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred for pediatric care; no on-call required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ME or compact) required.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred (required for pediatric patients).
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• IV skills and telemetry monitoring experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.
• 2 professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit focusing on orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients.
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately per unit standards.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.
• Scrubs of any color permitted if clean and in good repair; no prints, hoodies, crocs, or open-toed shoes allowed.
• Candidates located within 90 miles of MaineHealth facilities are considered local and not eligible for renewals/extensions.
• Minimum RTO of 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract.
• Cell phones, laptops, and airpods are prohibited on the unit.
