Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Aurora, Colorado. You will cover a 36-hour week on night shifts, delivering high-quality med-surg care in a busy unit. Requirements include at least 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS.

Preferred NIHSS/ACLS certifications and other licenses may be beneficial. Responsibilities involve patient assessments, administering meds, discharge planning, and coordinating with the care

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience required.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist during procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and monitor patient safety.
• Document and report patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use.
• Facilitate discharge planning and care transitions.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
