Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for Med/Surg night shifts in Albuquerque, NM. The assignment is 13 weeks, offering 36 hours per week at 12-hour nights from 18:30 to 07:00, with a focus on stroke and postoperative care.

The RN must have 3+ years Med/Surg experience, NM or compact license, BLS and NIHSS, and EPIC experience. Local candidates are discouraged; relocation support and per diem are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg RN experience required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• Locals within a 50 mile radius are not accepted.
• Former perm staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting.
• Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule, shift times 18:30 to 07:00.
• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Required to float to like units as needed based on facility needs.
• Care for stroke and surgery patients in a monitored environment.
• Telemetry central monitoring tech available 24/7.
• Unit welcomes first-time travelers.
• Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit and will complete required onsite modules during orientation.
• RTO must be requested at time of application; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto approved and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation.
• No specific scrub color is required, but scrubs must have no logos.
• No travel pairs or groups allowed.
