Job summary

TotalMed RN in Evansville, Indiana is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse for a 20-week assignment. This role requires 48 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift. A competitive travel package and tax-free stipends are typical, with ongoing opportunities across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure and Med Surg experience.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document prescribed medications, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education as prescribed.
