Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Kansas. Active KS or Compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of acute care experience are required.

Shifts are 12 hours, 36 hours per week, with self and block scheduling, weekend shifts, holidays, and potential float to ICU/PCU. Epic EMR used; travel housing and licensure reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• BSN not required
• Strong patient communication skills required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit with 32 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:6 with nurse aides 1:12
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Weekend shifts required (6 shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Holiday coverage required
• Call or standby as directed by nurse manager
• May float to ICU/PCU/Stepdown or other MS units as needed
• Could be utilized as a CNA if needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• 24/7 telemetry tech support
• Charge nurse may take assignments
• Care for CHF, hypertension, COPD, pneumonia, GI bleeds, renal failure, sepsis, stroke, post-surgical care
