Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse specialized in Medical-Surgical for a Gadsden, Alabama assignment. This role offers consistent day shifts, a travel-friendly environment, and a supportive team in a welcoming Alabama community.

Requirements include an Alabama RN license or Compact license, BLS, at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience, and Cerner EMR proficiency. You will work days with every other weekend, and the patient load is around 6:1 in Med-Surg.

Qualifications

Active Alabama RN license or a valid multistate Compact RN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
Previous Cerner electronic medical record experience
Med-Surg nursing experience and the ability to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
Ability to work scheduled day shifts and every other weekend

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policies.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Cerner.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain patient safety, infection prevention standards, and compliance with facility protocols.
