TotalMed RN is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Henderson, North Carolina. The position requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 12-hour shift schedule (days) with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include bedside assessments, medication administration, dressing changes, IV starts, patient education, and discharge planning. Certifications like BLS/ACLS, and NIH may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualificações

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• NIH certification may be required.
• 1.5 years acute care experience or more.

Responsabilidades

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-discharge care.
• Support discharge planning and patient education plans.
