ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel assignment in Weirton, West Virginia. Join our Medical Surgical Unit to provide essential care to patients with pneumonia, UTI, alcohol withdrawal, and GI bleed while partnering with a supportive team.

This 13-week contract offers 36 hours weekly on 12-hour day shifts, with weekends as scheduled; current RN license and BLS required, at least 1 year of RN experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN License and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, first-time travelers are accepted.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct vital checks, BGMs, and utilize EKG equipment.
• Provide comprehensive patient care, including bathing, feeding, and toileting.
• Assist in turning and positioning of patients to ensure comfort and prevent complications.
• Titrate drips (with exceptions for cardiac drips), including heparin and Lasix.
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy teams for equipment monitoring.
• Work closely with Charge Nurses, providing patient care while ensuring unit standards are met.
