Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 16-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, with a 12-hour day shift and a 36-hour workweek, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, assist physicians, monitor responses and outcomes.
• Maintain a safe environment and prepare patients for discharge planning as needed.
• Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record and ensure accuracy of data.
