Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts.

ACLS, BLS and 1 year of acute care experience are required. As a Med/Surg Travel RN you will perform patient assessments, administer prescribed medications, assist with pre/post-op care, educate families, and participate in discharge planning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required.
• 1 year of acute care experience minimum.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, start IVs, and assist physician during exams.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
