Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rockport, ME. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, with 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week for a 13-week assignment.

The RN will perform patient assessments, provide education to families, and support discharge planning while adapting to a fast-paced travel environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Assist with dressings, catheters, and starting IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
