TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a night shift.

Responsibilities include bedside care, patient assessments, medication administration, and patient education. As a Med/Surg Travel Nurse you will adapt to a fast-paced environment, support discharge planning, and provide essential care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care RN experience.
• Basic life support and advanced cardiac life support certifications required.
• Willing to travel to Vicksburg, MS for a 13 week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside Med/Surg nursing care for varied patient mix.
• Assess and document patient data; implement physician orders.
• Administer medications, monitor responses and adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
