TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This Med/Surg RN assignment is 13 weeks long, requires 36 hours per week, and features 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting.

Travel employment with TotalMed RN means you will work with diverse teams and support facilities with staffing needs across the country. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and holds current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist physician during treatment.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
